When you want something done right....
Burt's Eyewear was founded by two Midwest optometrists, who wanted to offer great frames at an affordable price. They understood that not all of their patients wanted to spend a lot of money on their frames, but they did want them to be stylish, made well, and accommodate their prescriptions. When they had trouble finding a frame line that checked all of those boxes-they got busy. Their optical background gave them insight into frame quality, style, fit, and prescription lens fit (opthalmic design.) And the concept of Burt's Eyewear was born.
You do it yourself.....
Then they put together a team of professionals who understood the need, had the skill sets, embraced the vision, and built upon it with them.
And have fun doing it.....
And that's when we recognized that doing what you love, with a passionate team was a lot of fun! Like, ya-kinda-feel-guilty-because-work-doesn't-feel-like-work- fun. We think that shows in our product. Our frames are upbeat, because we are upbeat, and we love what we do!
And you share the love...
We'll be honest, we originally created this frame line for ourselves, and our patients. (Our frames were even named for our friends and family!) But we realized that if we had a need, you probably did too-as a patient, or an eye care provider. So we decided to share our private frame line with the public. Invite everyone to the party that is Burt's Eyewear! Our next frame might even be named after YOU!
